The allegations are false, baseless and nothing but a botched up attempt to entrap the leaders of the MDC ahead of the election, which Zanu PF is going to lose.”

ZANU – PF (the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front) is the party of President Mugabe’s government.

Why any of the NDC leaders would have met with Dickens and Madson, long associated with
ZANU – PF, remans puzzling, but in an interview published in The Financial Gazette, Mr. Tsvangirai attempts to answer the question, by stating that he was unaware of the connection.

Perhaps, this may serve as a lesson for all politicians, to make certain of the political leanings and affiliations of their associates, particularly prospective consultants.

Morgan Tsvangirai is now suing the Australian television station S.B.S. for defamation.
