American senior citizens attacked by Israeli settlers in vicious assault
"I am convinced they were trying to kill me," said Mary Hughes-Thompson, a
68-year-old US/British citizen who had just spent the last few hours picking
olives near Nablus in the West Bank. Mary managed to make this statement on
her way to the hospital yesterday after a vicious assault during which she
sustained injuries that may include two broken arms.
James Deleplain, 74 and also a US citizen, was injured in the same vicious
attack - which included repeated kicks in the back and ribs and hits in the
face. The 74-year-old, whose face is now massively swollen, may be suffering
from a broken rib, in addition to a serious wound under his left eye.
Thirty-three year old Robbie Kelly, an Irish citizen, was beaten in the face
with rifle butts and has bruised ribs and seven stitches in his left ear,
while Omer Allon, a 24-year-old Israeli citizen has cuts and bruises all
over his body.
