The Bosnian War will be recorded in history as one of the most senseless and inhumane wars ever fought, where civilians were not merely the unintentional casualties of modern warfare techniques, but where they were specifically targeted in a policy designed to terrorise opponents.

The worst victims of these atrocities were the Bosnian Muslims who were victimised not only by Serbian forces, but also by Croatian. Sorely outnumbered and faced with overwhelming military force, the Bosnian Muslim population was simply sacrificed for the territorial ambitions of Bosnian Croatians and Serbs.

Nevertheless, there were atrocities committed by Bosnian Muslims – but on a less grand scale and as isolated instances, as opposed to their rivals who incorporated terror into their battle plans. Many of the trials in the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia attest to this fact.
