Elouise Cobell (photo), a member of the Blackfeet tribe in Montana and the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit said: “This is yet another example of how Secretary Norton and the White House continue to defraud the Court and Indian people. The only way to put an end to the lying of Justice Department lawyers and Interior Department officials is to start putting them in jail. Their conduct is a disgrace to our system of government.”
