Folks in England have created a short film called NO BASES FOR WAR about U.S. satellite installations in northern England called Menwith Hill and Fylingdales. These installations are now being upgraded for Star Wars and are helping to direct the current U.S. war with Iraq.

You can view the short film on-line by clicking on the link below and then hitting "View".

The film features Bruce Gagnon and Stacey Fritz (Alaska) both who are leaders of the Global Network. In addition it includes an interview with Kuupik Kleist, an elected official and peace movement activist from Greenland, where the U.S. has other satellite radar installations that will be upgraded for Star Wars.

You need RealMedia to view it, but there should soon be an mpg version too, which you can view with Windows Media Player, both of
which you can download free from the internet if you don't already have them.

It has been shown at a few meetings in the UK, and was shown it in Harrogate after the 'foil the base' demo at Menwith Hill this past Saturday (which was the biggest demo ever there with between 1-2000 people).
