National Day of Action to support Lt Watada:
Rally at Fort Lewis Mon. Feb. 5
Momentum is building across the country in support of Lt. Watada, who faces military court martial on Monday, February 5, 2007. Events and actions are planned throughout the county and the world. Thousands of people are expected to be in the streets to show their opposition of the Iraq war and support of Lt. Watada.
When the trial opens on Monday morning, supporters will fill the court room and rally outside the gates of Fort Lewis in a peaceful non-violent demonstration. Students will walk out of class, and buses from Portland to Bellingham are scheduled to arrive for the all day event at Fort Lewis.
Show your support of Lt. Watada and join the growing movement of war resisters! Bring a lunch, signs, a peaceful, positive attitude and dress warm – heavy coats, hats, scarves and gloves.
