United States May Attempt to Invalidate U.N. Inspectors' Iraq Report , by Paul V. Rafferty

Although the United Nations officially reported that the 12,000 page U.N. Inspectors report on Iraq was released on Monday to “some” Security Council Members (United Natuins News Centre: http://www.un.org/News , Associated Press reports that the United States has taken the only copy.

Why there is only one copy and why it should be given to only one Security Council member remains a question.

Colombia currently holds the Presidency of the Security Council and Colombia’s President Uribe, who has reportedly been linked to drug trafficking, is a client of the Bush Administration.

The Associated Press reports that although the Security Council announced that the five Permanent Members would receive the report ahead of schedule, Russia’s Deputy Ambassador “Gennady Gatilov said the United States had taken the council's lone copy to Washington where it would make duplicates for distribution to the four other powerful council members.
