Buffy has been a leader and warriorette for our people for many years. I have admired Buffy and had a secret crush on her ever since I first met her on the Menominee Indian Reservation. Buffy was fighting for her People's rights and survival and without any fear for her own safety or career she joined hands to fight the oppression so enjoyed against Indian Nations. Her voice sounds like a choir of spirits from our People in the world above and her beauty never failed to make my heart skip a beat as she walked by.
I tried to pay tribute to this great woman warrior to the best of my ability but I know I can never capture her real beauty and spirit. Thank you, Buffy St. Marie, for the person you are.
