Israel still has tightened control over borders, airspace, territorial water, population registry, tax system and supply of goods in Gaza. Israel is still occupying the Gaza Strip even after pulling out its military forces from the impoverished coastal area, said a report by an Israeli organization released on Thursday, January 18.
"Israel continues to control Gaza through an 'invisible hand'", concluded the Centre for the Legal Protection of Freedom of Movement (Gisha) in a report posted on its website.
"Israel has not relinquished control over Gaza but rather removed some elements of control while tightening other significant controls."
