It looks like Israel is beginning to show its independence by entering into unilateral negotiations with Syria, as the articles below will show. None too soon, one might add, for the madmen who control the United States appear to be approaching the limits of their insanity, also as the articles below will show.
Within the United States, there is a fairly large group of religious fanatics that present an image of “respectability” and in so doing, receive a tacit approval from most Americans. No one wants to challenge another person’s religious beliefs and few bother to delve into the core beliefs of people who call themselves “Christian”.
Nevertheless, there are many so-called “Christian Fundamentalists” who are also called “Christian Zionists”, due to their unquestioning support of Israel. Most consider this support to be based upon the fact that “Christ” was a Jew and consequently, Israel, as the “Jewish Homeland” must be supported. Sadly, nothing could be farther from the Truth.
“Christian Fundamentalist Zionists” actually support Israel in the hope that Israeli actions will cause the destruction of Israel in what they see as “The Final Battle” or “Armageddon”, when only a select few – them – will be saved from a living Hell on Earth that signals the “Return of Christ”.
The so-called “Loving God” will punish all who don’t join their particular and peculiar version of Christianity. This includes all other Christians, as well as Jews, Muslims, Hindhus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, in fact everyone but a select few of the so-called “Christian Fundamentalists”. The psychopath they worship has nothing to do with the GOD called “Father” by “Christ”.
These diabolical merchants of war back the Bush regime and its Middle Eastern policies and the so-called “War on Terror” which is in fact a war OF terror. By attempting to present Islam as a danger, they close the doors of interfaith communication. By constantly attacking nations where the majority of people are Muslim, they provoke a very small minority of people into unthinking, useless terrorist reactions that justify even more attacks and a gradual acceptance by everyone else of Police State measures. All part of the “Armageddon” scenario.
Since the “American People” seem to be succumbing to this perversion of Christianity, the only present hope for Peace rests with Israel.
If Israel exhibits the courage to truly make peace with Palestine, Syria and the rest of the Arab World, the nightmare caused by the Bush regime will end. Israel will be at peace with its neighbors and the entire Middle East will begin to prosper.
We can only Hope and Pray that we are witnessing the beginning of Israel’s maturity, as a truly independent nation, at Peace with the world.
