Saddam remained in self-control, railing his Iranian and American enemies and praising the Iraqi resistance.Now that President Saddam Hussein has been executed, perhaps the U.S. will be able to extricate itself from the quagmire it has created in Iraq.

At the end of the Gulf War, then President George Bush was criticized by some for not ousting President Saddam Hussein – but he knew that such an action would be a disaster and would merely bring chaos – not only to Iraq, but also to the entire region.
In his sick attempt to “prove himself”, at war - having successfully avoided any actual combat – unlike his father – George W. has instead proven his father right.
