American troops are facing a no-win situation is Iraq with a little hope of a dignified way out, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said Tuesday, November 21, urging neighboring Iran and Syria to help stabilize the war-torn Arab country. "The US is in a way trapped in Iraq, trapped in the sense that it cannot stay and it cannot leave", Annan told a press conference, reported Agence France Presse (AFP).
