Once again, the forces of Mammon threaten the Free Press. VHeadline, an honest independent window on Venezuela may soon be no more – unless Public support comes to the rescue.
Since the First of January, 1996, Roy Carson has been publishing articles, which show the Truth behind the smokescreen pervading most “News” coverage of Venezuela.
As of the First of September, last week, http://www.vheadline.com has been “frozen” and will no longer be accessible at the end of this month, unless sufficient funds can be raised.
It appears that Corporate Advertisers are reluctant to show their wares on such a website where Reality supersedes Propaganda.
We hope readers of the “U.N. OBSERVER & International Report” will find a way to prevent the loss of yet another honest News website.

Dear friends and colleagues,
It is with the deepest regret that I have to inform you that despite every effort to keep VHeadline.com financially afloat we have been forced to an editorial production stop as of August 31.
· This means that as of September 1 we will be unable to update either the English or Spanish versions of the website.
We have had this decision forced upon us since we do not have the economic base on which to continue. The cruel fact is that VHeadline.com is erroneously perceived as being "Chavista" by major businesses and advertisers while we are also erroneously perceived as "escualidos" by a sector of the Venezuelan political scene that should otherwise understand the vital role that we have achieved over the last ten years as an e-publication with an independent editorial policy.
We continue to believe that VHeadline.com should support democratic governance, constitutionality and the rule of law as it applies to Venezuela and to promote positive developments in Venezuela, but because of the intolerable situation where we lack even basic funding to proceed, there is nothing much we can do other than to continue to hope and pray for a last minute miracle to save us from what currently appears to be the inevitable closure of VHeadline.com.
I am informed that both VHeadline.com websites will continue to be available on the Internet for a short period after September 1 and before the final plug is pulled on ten years of our endeavors in Venezuela's behalf. Thereafter, hundreds of thousands of readers around the world will get what is called a "404 error" when they try to access any of the more than 70,000 webpages on the site and to all intents and purposes VHeadline.com will be dead and gone.
Thank you for your efforts over the last years and please join our prayers for a last minute miracle that will allow us to continue the vital task for Venezuela and Venezuelans' positive future.
