The "cabinet crisis" is nothing but a smoke-screen. Not a day passes without bloodshed.

Israeli assassinations in the morning, Palestinian suicide attacks in the evening.

For the policies of the Sharon government, we all pay.

The grave damage to health, education and welfare,
the growing tax burden, the deprivations of the jobless,
the pensioners, the children and the elderly - all these are a direct and inevitable result of the war policy.
This is not a war for the existence of Israel, but a war for the existence of the settlements.

All the downgrading of services and new taxes are for the good of the settlements only.

Gush Shalom ad published in Ha'aretz, May 24, 2002.

Gush Shalom calls itself,
"the hard core of the Israeli peace movement".
