An Iranian train carrying fuel and industrial chemicals derailed and blew up outside the city of Neyshabur, 400 miles east of the capital, Tehran, February 18, 2004. The crash set off explosions that killed more than 200 people, injured hundreds more and destroyed five villages. The train’s cars, picking up speed and moving without an engine or conductor, overturned when they reached Khayyam, the next stop along the track, starting a blaze.IslamOnline
