'Suicide' at the United Nations

“Holton, 41, was found in a lounge area where U.N. employees often take their breaks. He was seated in one of the chairs and his gun — believed to be a Glock 9mm pistol — was on the chair next to his leg, McCann said.”

Now, anyone who has fired a 9mm, Glock or otherwise, knows that there is a heck of a recoil which given the sudden lifelessness of the hand holding it, is going to send the gun flying across the room, not set it down on the chair next to the victim's leg. Also, since UN Guards are not issued guns with silencers, one has to wonder why nobody heard a shot if it was a suicide.
